How We Began

About Animal Rights UK

Animal rights UK started as a result of a fur demonstration in Sheffield where one activist from Nottingham attended after by chance seeing the demo advertised on a website, this sparked thoughts on how to spread messages, important dates and events to groups around the country as quickly as possible.

As a result ‘the feed’ was born this was simply RSS feeds from the blogs and twitter pages of animal rights groups from around the country combined into a single feed which is accessible via RSS, Twitter or Facebook which gave an automatic, instant and upto date information on events, news and protests around the country

‘The Feed’ grew in popularity and the associated facebook and twitter pages quickly gathered followers from around the country. At this point ‘ The Feed’ was re branded to ‘Animal Rights UK’, our website was born. Using our large network we were now able to use our Website, Facebook and Twitter to effectively publicise national events such as gatherings and national marches.

The website evolved even further, providing any information thghts campaigners would find usefull, including a directory of animal rights groups, legal advice, campaigning advice and more!

Our mission is now to help the animal rights movement in the UK in any way possible. This includes publicity, legal advice, web design. leaflet design, online advice and so much more!
